Before using for the first time
When using the machine for the first time or after being sat for a while, we suggest making a cup of water in order to rinse the machine and clear any potential blockages. To do so, please follow the below instructions without a KPod or K-Cup in place.
How to brew using your K-Pod coffee machine
- Place the machine upright on a flat surface, remove all plastic packaging and plug into the socket.
- Remove the reservoir and thoroughly swill out to ensure any bacteria has been removed. Then proceed to fill with water to the ‘Max’ fill line.
- Then slide the reservoir back on to the machine, ensuring that the catch is placed correctly into its designated hole on the brewer.
- NOTE: The K-Pod coffee machine has a water level sensor, if the water level is below the minimum line, the machine will not work. You will see a flashing light in the water level indicator.
- Now for the fun bit, make your choice of K-Pod coffee. Then lift the handle on the top of the brewer and insert your chosen coffee pod. Do NOT peel off the cover of the KPod.
- Close the machine lid by pressing down on top of the brew head handle.
- NOTE: The KPod coffee capsule will be punctured upon the closing of the brew head.
- Place your favourite coffee mug in the dispense alcove on top of the drip tray. Your drip tray can be removed at any time in order to empty and clean.
- Click the power on button and select your brew size by pressing one of the other three available buttons: 6oz, 8oz or 10oz.
- You’ll now hear a beep and the light of your chosen option will flash while brewing is under way. This will then stop automatically after brewing time is reached.
- NOTE: The brewing process can be stopped manually by pressing the same button. Before opening the lid, allow approximately 20 seconds for the pod and brewer to cool.
- Your coffee is now ready!
- Allow the machine to cool, then remove the used pod keeping your fingers away from the hot water outlet.
Resetting to factory defaults
- Unplug your KPod coffee machine from the socket.
- Press the big cup button and keep it pressed in whilst plugging the machine back in.
- The blue light on the water level gauge will flash twice, indicating the reset is complete.
